AI literacy for families, neighborhoods, and civic life

The same questions organizations are asking about AI also matter at the kitchen table. Our community programs bring AI literacy into the places people already gather: libraries, schools, faith communities, neighborhood centers. In plain language. For St. Louis and beyond.

    Flagship Program

    AI Aware Families Certification

A four-session program that gives parents and caregivers the language, the limits, and the practical know-how to navigate AI alongside their kids. Built for delivery through schools, libraries, and community organizations.

    SESSION 1
What AI actually is, in plain words
No jargon. No hype. What AI does, what it does not do, and where it shows up in your kid's daily life.
    SESSION 2
    Helpful uses, risky uses
Homework, creativity, learning, social media. Where AI helps. Where it harms. Specific examples your family will recognize.
    SESSION 3
    Setting good limits at home
A practical family AI policy you can actually live with. Not a ban list. A conversation starter for the next ten years.
    SESSION 4
    Becoming an AI-aware family
Certification ceremony. Resources to take home. A small AI-aware community of other families in your area.
